We have been operating a salesforce backup tool for 10 years just for our consulting clients, but today we’re moving it to an open source model so more people can use it to backup their data.

The app compute is on Heroku (acquired by Salesforce) and stores data on the Backblaze storage network .

The production application can be found at:
https://app.dbsaver.com

The github repo for this project can be found here:
https://github.com/cloudanswers/dbsaver

We are starting over with a clean repo just in case we accidentally committed any customer-specific hacks or secrets in our old repos, and so the repo contains only the necessary parts for you to review and deploy to your own cloud if you need!
